Everything in this world changes and the Filipino language is not an exception. Words, just like us humans, keeps on evolving and improving. Some old words are now kept in a treasure chest and stay hidden and forgotten. In order to open this said treasure chest, we must find the key through widening our knowledge. So here are some words that are already forgotten by the majority

1. Asoge – Mercury
Definition: Mercury is a shiny, silvery liquid metal.
Example: Ang asoge ay hindi dapat pinaglalaruan dahil ito ay isang delikadong elemento.

2. Pantablay – Charger
Definition: A charger is a device used to put energy into a secondary electronic device.
Example: Pwede ko bang mahiram ang iyong pantablay?

3. Alimusom – Scent
Definition: Scent is a distinctive smell, especially one that is pleasant.
Example: Napakabango ng alimusom ng ating kalikasan.

4. Panghibayo – Amplifier
Definition: Amplifier is an electronic device or circuit which is used to increase the magnitude of the signal applied to its input.
Example: Ginamit niya ang panghibayo upang marinig ng madla ang sinasabi ng tagapagsalita.

5. Kartamuneta – Wallet
Definition: A wallet is a a pocket-sized, flat, folding holder for money and plastic cards.
Example: Kinuha niya ang kaniyang kartamuneta bago umalis ng kanyang tahanan.

6. Kabtol – Switch
Definition: To switch is to change the position, direction, or focus of.
Example: Nag-kabtol kami ng pwesto ng upuan.

7. Himaton – Clue
Definition: A clue is a piece of evidence or information used to detect or solve a mystery.
Example: Bigyan mo ako ng himaton upang masagot ko ang mga katanungan.

8. Awanggan – Infinity
Definition: Defines a never ending (thing)
Example: Awanggan ang pagmamahal ng Diyos sa ating lahat.

9. Marilag – Beautiful
Definition: pleasing the senses or mind aesthetically.
Example: May lumapit sa aking isang marilag na dalaga.

10. Hidhid – Selfish Person
Definition: A selfish person is a person who only cares for himself/herself.
Example: Si Nonong ay isang hidhid na tao.
